The theological and cognitive understanding of 'Uniting' is crystal clear as Rev.Janet Staines mentions in her article. The ecumenical movement of Uniting was dramatic and inspiring 40 years back. The functional part of uniting is not same as in 1977. We are less focused on uniting churches to become one. Instead we are more focused on social issues working with other churches. Do we shift our focus as we celebrate our 40th birthday? If uniting is our DNA, what kind of progress we have made in uniting churches beyond three? Are we inward looking to keep our identity or we willing to give up our identity for uniting churches? Is our theological and governmental structures of Uniting church a catalyst to unite churches or a stumbling block to do it? These questions are raised when I read this article. Good reading!

The Uniting Church along with other organisations is providing many valuable services to the community and in particular to those in most need. One of the parts of successful budgeting for anyone is to consider the weekly menu and to obtain recipes which provide wholesome, tasty food at the lowest possible cost. Cheaoer cuts of meat, for example can be made into very tender meals simply by applying particular methods of cooking.

Some cooking lessons for many people would be appreciated for this purpose and a shopping list prepared together perhaps with some assistance with initial shopping to find "specials" - lots available on certain days at WW and Coles - as well as some help in resisting fattening foods, chips, soft drinks etc which are hard on the budget and the body.

Just a suggestion!

Lee seems to be a genuine decent bloke, but it's hard to swallow his self appointment of Mr Integrity. That was the Jury's problem,. Especially since he was also manipulative and bullying which made him a hypocrite.

There's nothing wrong with being a good guy, but you're not a good guy because you say so. You're a good guy because others say so.

Nothing against Lee from me personally. I was happy for him to win all the same.

Kristie was brilliant though, and her underdog win was truly heroic. She was dealt more bad luck than anyone, and had to fight alone for the entire series. She flew under the radar and took out or contributed to the demise of so many players. She played a smart game and there was no one tougher.

Well done Kristie, true survivor and deserving winner!
