Hi Hetty,

A child-care centre can be a very important part of the life of a community, and in the life of many families. There are lots of churches and church agencies engaged in providing high quality care, and actively supporting families in that manner. If a church has the commitment to families and children, the space and resources required, and the expertise or a partnership with an agency that does (for example, Wesley Mission Queensland) – then I think a child-care centre can be a very worthwhile project.

Samford Valley Community Church has a small playground and not only does it make me relax about how my kids will be welcomed but it provides another casual meeting point for me to chat with other mums and dads.
