Hi Hetty,

A child-care centre can be a very important part of the life of a community, and in the life of many families. There are lots of churches and church agencies engaged in providing high quality care, and actively supporting families in that manner.  If a church has the commitment to families and children, the space and resources required, and the expertise or a partnership with an agency that does (for example, Wesley Mission Queensland) - then I think a child-care centre can be a very worthwhile project.
