Living the Days of Advent and the Christmas Season is a lovely little book.

Each page is one day in the season between the first Sunday in Advent and the Baptism of Jesus.

Each page has a verse for the day, a short reflection and two suggested readings for the day.

The reflection is different from other study books in that it is not so much about oneself, but it is about the passage.

The origins of one of the words in the verse is discussed, a bit of history, context or another useful piece of information about the text is shared.

The reflection ends with a statement or a question for the reader to ponder in relation to their own relationship with God.

There will be a 2011 edition, and based on this book I recommend it to all Christians looking for a new devotional book over the Christmas season.
