My First Holy Communion is a well presented hard cover book that will make a lovely gift for someone celebrating their first communion. The first page allows for the details of the gift giver and the child’s baptism and first communion dates.

The book is a mixture of bible verses, thoughts and prayers all very suitable for a child. It is broken into seven sections – The God Who Made Me, I Am God’s Child, Loved and Forgiven, At the Table of the Lord, The Right Path, Faith Hope Love and Blessings. Surrounding the text are a variety of lovely illustrations.

I would buy this gift book for a child who is celebrating their first communion. And even though my children have already had their first communion, I will still use this book as the prayers are so relevant for someone their age. A compliment I rarely use when reading Christian children’s books.
