Celebration Time!

EACH YEAR at this time, I enjoy the privilege of attending special functions for many of our schools. It’s that time when the summer vacation is almost here and schools reflect on and celebrate the year that has passed.

These events remind us of the wonderful work being done amongst our young people and the high calibre of citizen being moulded and nurtured through the Christian environment and high quality programs.

During the last few weeks, I have heard confident young men and women speak sincerely and glowingly of their school experience.

I have listened to music that was nothing short of inspiring.

I have seen smiles of joy as students were announced as leaders or were presented prizes, for encouragement, character, Christian leadership and service as well as for academic studies.

The functions vary in name and format but all are times of celebration and optimism. Once can’t help but feel that the Church’s mission is being fulfilled in our Schools.
