The rain and wind didn’t dampen the spirits of 175 Worshippers seeking to support the new Uniting Church North Lakes faith community. Over 80 people to stand through the service as presbytery representatives and the Moderator welcomed the new Church.  Sister churches gave gifts and helped supply supper, while church members made everyone welcome.

The Rev Stephen, Mrs Dian Templeton and their children started with the dream that they received fiveyears ago for a church at North Lakes.  Believeing God had called them they moved into the area  them to build the church in this fast growing part of Brisbane. It was only five months ago that plans and outreach were actually put into place and today the church roll stands at more than 90 with new people attending weekly.
